Captain’s welcome

In my opinion, Church Stretton Golf Club is one of the friendliest Golf Clubs in Shropshire and we should never forget the mental and physical health benefits that our course and the game of golf has to offer.

The course presents us with a rare golfing challenge and what it lacks in yardage, it makes up for with amazing views and some stamina building holes (buggies are available to hire).

If you pay us a visit you will see why our hill-top course has stood the test of time since 1898.  It is also one of the driest courses in Shropshire, so it is often open when other courses are closed due to heavy rainfall.

I moved to Shropshire in 1996 and Church Stretton Golf Club has played an enjoyable part during my time here. From playing the course in fantastic summer conditions and being challenged by the bracken, to battling the elements on a crisp winter’s day, the course really offers a great challenge that differs from day to day, and sometimes hour by hour.

I am looking forward to the year ahead and working with our new Committee and President to build upon the solid foundations already in place.

I wish you an unforgettable and enjoyable experience at Church Stretton Golf Club.
